Can I write an article for the Europe’s World print journal?

I have written an article/a paper for another journal. Could it be re-published in the Europe’s World print journal?

No. The policy journal Europe’s World is limited to first publications.
In order to present your work to the high-level readership of Europe’s World, please register on EuropesWorld.org and publish the article/paper of which you hold the copyright within the European Ideas Community. Alternatively, you can e-mail us your contribution to contributions@europesworld.org. Please note, that usually Europe’s World will not edit contributions to the European Ideas Community.

What is the European Ideas Community?

The European Ideas Community features policy contributions by individual community members. After registration, you can login and submit your reports, articles, op-eds, and research papers. We ask you to only submit work of which you are the author. Authors are asked to provide a brief synopsis of their feature, an autobiographical byline, and if possible upload a picture in their profile, which will be published alongside their work. Whilst we passionately promote free speech and vigorous debate, we reserve the right to delete any content we feel is inappropriate.

What is the Think Tank Europe section?

This section features the publications, reports and events of the think tanks and universities that make up the Europe’s World Advisory Board, also called 'Think Tank Europe Network'. If you are a think tank or an academic institution with a focus on European policy issues and wish to join Europe’s World’s 'Think Tank Europe' network, then please email us.

Why should I register on EuropesWorld.org?

In order to fully utilize this website you will be asked to register. Registration is free, and allows you to do the following:

Submit your reports, articles, op-eds and research papers

  • Edit all your posts
  • Receive e-mail notification of replies to your posts Comment on and rate posts by other European Ideas Community Members
  • Comment on and rate all the content of the free online journal Europe’s World
  • Comment on and rate all posts by Europe’s World’s partners in the Think Tank Europe section.

After completing the registration form, you will receive an e-mail with your username and password. After registering you will be able to post on EuropesWorld.org immediately.

How can I log in on EuropesWorld.org?

Click on the LOG IN button in the top right corner of EuropesWorld.org website. Then you can enter your username and password.

I lost my password, how can I log in?

Please click here to request your password. You will be asked to enter your username. Your password will be send by e-mail to the address in your user profile.

Please contact us saying “Please send username belonging to” and the e-mail address that you entered in your user profile.

Can I change the information in my profile?

Log in on EuropesWorld.org. Click on the “EDIT MY PROFILE” button in the top right corner of EuropesWorld.org website. Change the information in your profile and click on “save”.

How can I post in the European Ideas Community?

Log in on EuropesWorld.org. Click on the “MY POSTS” button in the top right corner of EuropesWorld.org website. Then click on the link “Submit new post”.

Fill in the form with at least:
  • the title
  • the content of your posts
  • one of the required tags.

To finally submit your posts, enter the security code and then click on “update”.

How can I format the text of my post?

To enter text into the form, you can either write directly in the “content” field or you copy the text, click right with the mouse in the “content” field and select the option “Paste Plain Text”. Then you can format the text using the icons above the “content” field.

How can I include a hyperlink in my post? 

Copy the link or the word with a hyperlink. Then click right with the mouse in the “content” field and select the option “Paste from Word”.

Alternatively, you can select the respective word in your text and then use the keyboard shortcut to insert a hyperlink CTRL K. This will open the hyperlink manager that allows you to define all settings for the link you will insert.

Can I still edit my posts after submitting them?

When logged in, simply click on the button “My posts” in the top right corner of the website. You will then see a list of all your published articles. After clicking on the pen symbol next to the article you would like to edit, you will be able to change the text, the layout as well as the tags connected to your article.

How can I comment on journal articles and community posts?

Log in on EuropesWorld.org. Click on the “ADD COMMENT” button at the end of the article or post that you would like to comment on.

Simply enter:
  • the title of your comment
  • your comment and
  • the security code that you can read in a box on the right.

Then click on the “ADD COMMENT” button under the security code.

Can I still edit my comments after submitting them?

No. In case you don’t want your comment to be published beneath one of the articles or posts, please contact us with your request to remove the comment. We ask you to send us the link to the specific article or post. Please send your request from the e-mail address used in your personal user profile.

What is email notification?

When you have posted a contribution to the European Ideas Community you will automatically be informed by e-mail when somebody has commented on your post.

How can I rate journal articles and posts by community members and Europe’s World’s partners?

Log in on EuropesWorld.org. Click on the “ADD RATING” button at the end of the article or post that you would like to rate. You can select a score from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent) and then click on “Submit rating”. Once you rated the article or post, the “ADD RATING” button will disappear.
