Founded in 1991, Confrontations Europe is a civic movement and an association where business executives, trade unionists, territorial, associative and political actors, intellectuals and students from several European countries work together.
Members, friends and partners of the association, with different political sympathies, share the same ambition: to promote a European dialogue combining the social, the economic and the cultural spheres and to build up a society in Europe by thinking up the ways to a participative democracy.
In that perspective, we focus our work on major issues such as: creating the conditions for growth and the development of human capacities; building up identities of European companies; defining industrial policies and cohesion policies based on the development of public goods, especially of SGIs (Services of General Interest) in Europe; a confidence pact for the stability and the development of the banking and financial system; a European educative and cultural project; Europe in the world as a link between peoples. Moreover, “Confrontations” wants to mobilize young people so that they get involved in the European project.
