Established on July 31st 2000 as an independent research and educational organization to study issues related to Georgia's foreign policy and its participation in European and Euro-Atlantic integration process. CEIS's fundamental aims are:
Centre for European Integration Studies
to provide leaders of political parties, decision-makers, inside and outside government, with competent and impartial information and analysis on European and Euro-Atlantic enlargement issues;
to contribute public debates on European and Euro-Atlantic Institutions and policies;
to create domestic network of leaders and thoughtful individuals who are committed to working together to enhance Georgia' s participation in European and NATO integration and co-operation;
to carry out an educational activity on NATO and EU matters as well as in the field if civic education;
to focus our activity on democracy in the realm of defence and security;
to promote transparent, accountable and effective government in the security sector;
Our activity is directed to support and enhance regional co-operation in Black Sea area, including South Caucasus.
CEIS is a main driving force of European Movement Georgia and its most principal corporate member together with other corporate members: Georgian Franchisee Union and Youth Association "Europe".
