There exists increasing consensus that successful security and defence operations require close cooperation between military and civilian actors. The Security and Defence Day '09 addresses this topic from several angles in the second edition of its security and defence conference. To face today's challenges, civilian and military forces have to work increasingly hand in hand, oftentimes use the same equipment with only slight modifications.
