The global economic downturn could serve as either a crisis or opportunity for the development world. Aid flows are declining at a time when they are needed most. But the unprecedented cooperation between nations to tackle the crisis could be used to overhaul the global aid architecture.
The Development Policy Forum has spoken to a range of actors to discuss the steps they consider vital to achieving this and creating a system of aid capable of ridding the world of extreme poverty.
